No other skill is so key to an investigator's career as effective interviewing.  Gatewood designed the definitive course in this endeavor, "Interviewing Skills and Investigative Techniques".  During his years as an instructor at Milwaukee Area Technical College he presented the course to experienced professionals as well as aspiring investigators.  He is proud to have won the award as Milwaukee's Best College Instructor in 1995, largely based on this unique course.   A blend of sales skills and hard nosed interrogation techniques result in optimal management of subjects coming under Gatewood's investigative eye.  Gatewood is often hired by other investigators because of his expertise in this discipline.
